Heli Flexi

Heli-Flexies are supplied in a Polyurethane material and are suitable for water and fuels. Although there is a standard 300 litre size, they can be tailor made (Custom, bespoke) for the loading capacity of the helicopter. To be used with our tailor made protective Heli-Flexi sling or cargo net.

Heli-Flexies are in use worldwide for disaster relief, homeland security, emergency response, power-line utilities (electricity/power), remote work camps, exploration and mining facilities, and many foreign defence installations. Heli-Flexies are also perfect for temporary storage in case of a far outlying emergency.

As Flexitanks operate in a vacuum, what you put in is what you get out, no dust, air or light exposure to your product.

These Heli-Flexies are manufactured from Military Specification (MIL-T-52983 Rev 3) materials and are used on various projects in remote destinations for re-fuelling purposes. These Heli-Flexies are rigorously tested according to ISO 9000:2000 test guidelines. (ISO certification pending)

A helicopter bucket is a specialised bucket suspended on a cable carried by a helicopter to deliver water for aerial firefighting. Each bucket has a release valve on the bottom which is controlled by the helicopter crew. When the helicopter is in position, the crew releases the water to extinguish or suppress the fire below. Each release of the water is referred to as a drop. The design of the buckets allows the helicopter to hover over a water source – such as a lake, river, pond, or tank – and lower the bucket into the water to refill it. This allows the helicopter crew to operate the bucket in remote locations without the need to return to a permanent operating base, reducing the time between successive drops.
